It’s almost Black Friday again and that means huge discounts on clothing. Meanwhile, many textile workers do not get paid enough to afford medicine, good food and rent. Unacceptable! That’s why we are using the Signastore to collect as many signatures as possible for the Good Clothes Fair Pay petition. And we need you to make this a success!

This is the Signastore

Too many people think that one signature makes little difference. In the Signastore we show that this is not true. We invite people to sign. Not only online, but also physically with markers or spray cans on the walls, furniture, floor or ceiling in the Signastore.

We start the Black Friday week with a bright white room and end with a room full of color and support for the campaign.

Famous artist Janisdeman will put the first signature during the official opening. The facade is painted by him. Anyone who passes by the building will see that it is time for a colorful action!

Visit the store and place your tag!

The Signastore can be found at Voor Clarenburg 6 in Utrecht from 23 to 27 November. We are open between 12:00 and 17:30, and extra late on Thursday’s shopping night and Black Friday:

  • Tuesday 22 November | Official opening at 16:00
  • Wednesday 23 November | 10:30 – 17:30
  • Thursday 24 November | 12:00 – 20:30 – Film screening with Fashion Revolution
  • Friday 25 November (Black Friday) | 10:00 – 20:30
  • Saturday 26 November | 11:00 – 17:30
  • Sunday 27 November | 12:00 – 17:30

You don’t have to sign up, just come along. And of course bring all your friends, family and neighbors with you. The more support for the petition, the more we can do for textile workers.

About Good Clothes Fair Pay

Worldwide, millions of people work in clothing, textile and shoe production. The vast majority are not paid enough to meet their basic needs. This needs to change! That is why the Good Clothes Fair Pay campaign has been set up, a European Citizens’ Initiative for a living wage in the clothing supply chain. We want legislation that contributes to fair wages for makers in the global clothing industry. The campaign is an initiative of Fashion Revolution, ASN Bank and Solidaridad, among others.
